$11 bucks for a packet of ciggies. Ouch. 3 plates of chicken rice, 5 cups of fruit juice at newton prices, 11 bloody dollars !! hey wait. why am i complaining? i aint a smoker so wtf do i care right? in fact whilsts i was in thailand, i came up with an ingenius quoute MOH should adopt in their next anti-smoker campaign. "smoke unto thee harms thy ovaries"

so whats with the hoo ha about cigarette prices? the reason given by the garmen for the hike in prices is to DETER YOUNG 'UNS from picking up the habit. so my question is, why do existing smokers have to bare the brunt of the fee hike? they should make it sure that everytime you wanna buy a pack of fags, you should flash your ic to indicate your age. higher the age, cheaper the cigarettes (since ur old, might as well smoke more end ur life and stop wasting whats left of the precious air for future generations, besides older folks who still smoke are very unlikley to kick the habit. they would most likely be kicking the bucket first. so for all their contribution to the society the garmen should reward them with cheaper fags.) this way everyone is happy! smokers get their fags and the garmen still achieves their deterance message. yay~~!!
